Alle teams bij de senioren zijn inmiddels gestart aan het nieuwe seizoen! Hieronder een overzicht per team:
Team 1: divisie 4
Op zaterdag 12 september trapte team 1 af tegen Almere, uitwedstrijd. Annabelle speelde na 2 jaar van blessures weer haar eerste wedstrijden en ging met 3 gewonnen partijen weer richting huis! Dat noemen we nog eens een comeback! DVS won deze wedstrijd met 5-3 en kent daarmee een prima start van het seizoen.
Op 19 september pakt team 1 wederom de winst met 5-3 tegen ABC 14. Anton en Onno speelden hierbij een bizarre eerste set in de mannen dubbel die gewonnen werd met 30-29! Goed voor de scores in wat quatro’tjes kan ik zo indenken 😉. Mariëlle maakt het in de single heel spannend, maar won de 3e set uiteindelijk met 22-20, gefeliciteerd!
Team 2: divisie 5
Zaterdag 12 september was ook de eerste wedstrijd voor team 2, thuis tegen Culemborg. Na een verloren eerste set en een dikke winst in de 2e set ging de winst in set 3 voor Ruben en Jeroen in de mannen dubbel net aan hun neus voorbij. Beide mannen knokten ging terug in hun single partijen door hier de winst te pakken, goed gerevancheerd! Met een score van 4-4 bleef alles in evenwicht in Hoograven.
Zondag 20-9 was de 2e wedstrijd voor ons 2e team. In een wedstrijd met alleen maar 2-setters bleek het een lastige middag en ging deze wedstrijd met 6-2 verloren tegen Hercules. Wel wonnen Jeroen en Joanne hun singles, goed gedaan!
Team 3: divisie 5
Doordat de 2e wedstrijd is verplaatst heeft team 3 pas 1 wedstrijd gespeeld, op 12 september. De tegenstander, Castellum speelde met 2 invallers (dames) en deze wedstrijd eindigde in een gelijkspel! Bas en Sidney scoorden het eerste punt door de mannendubbel te winnen en Tessa en Anke zorgden voor de 2-0. Helaas gingen 3 van de 4 singles verloren, maar Anke hield goed stand en won haar single! Bas en Tessa haalden relatief eenvoudig het 4e punt binnen, maar de 2e mix ging helaas verloren door een sterk spelend Castellum. 4-4 was de eindstand!
Team 4: divisie 7
Op vrijdagavond 11 september is team 4 uitstekend gestart tegen Helios met een winst van 6-2! Tom en Miranda wisten beiden alle drie de wedstrijden te winnen, super gedaan! Helaas gingen de singles van Eric en Esmee verloren, maar ze haalden hun gewonnen wedstrijden keurig in 2 sets binnen! Gefeliciteerd met deze uitslag team 4!
De flow van de eerste wedstrijd zat er nog goed in, want ook de 2e wedstrijd werd met 6-2 gewonnen. Met extra speler Jop werd met ruime cijfers gewonnen van team Zijderveld. Esmee pakte hier een zeer ruime zege in de single en kwamen Tom en Miranda goed terug van een verloren 1e set in de mix! Well done!
Team 5: divisie 8
Ons 5e team is met 2x winst met 5-3 uitstekend gestart aan het seizoen. Marcel maakte het in de eerste wedstrijd in de single enorm spannend maar ging de winst helaas naar het team uit Ouderkerk. Rick en Marja pakten heel netjes de winst in hun single en werden ook beide mixen gewonnen!
In de 2e wedstrijd op 18 september tegen ’t Gooi BC pakten Rick en Marcel de mannen dubbel door in de 2e set met 22-20 te winnen. Vervolgens werden 3 van de 4 singles gewonnen, allemaal in 2 sets. Marcel en Marja speelden in de mix een spannende partij die helaas net de kant op viel van de tegenstanders. Desalniettemin ging team 5 met de winst er vandoor, 5-3!
Team 6: divisie 8
Op zaterdag 12 september werd de eerste wedstrijd voor team 6 gespeeld tegen Dronten. Deze ging met 3-5 verloren. De dames waren goed op dreef deze wedstrijd door de DD en beide singles te winnen. Goed gedaan! De 2e mix was erg spannend, er moest een 3setter aan te pas komen die helaas niet werd gewonnen.
In Zeist tegen BC ’t Slot stond de 2e wedstrijd voor team 6 op het programma. Ondanks een niet gespeelde VE2 partij heeft team 6 4 punten gescoord! Levi en Rehman wonnen de mannen dubbel en vervolgens wonnen ook Duyen en Xintong de vrouwen dubbel! De andere 2 punten kwamen uit de ME2 en de 2e mix. Goed gedaan!
Team 7: mannen 1
Ons enige mannenteam dit jaar is op zaterdag 19 september gestart met een 5-3 verlies tegen Sjeve Sjuttel. De mannen stonden na de eerste 4 potjes nog op 0 winst, maar daarna werd het tij gekeerd en werd 3 keer gewonnen! Uiteindelijk dus nog een mooie 3 punten kunnen scoren deze eerste wedstrijd.
The 2026 competition season has started!
All the teams have now started their new season! Here is an overview of how each team is doing:
Team 1: Division 4
On Saturday, September 12, Team 1 kicked off the season with an away match against Almere. After two years of injuries, Annabelle played her first matches again and went home with three wins! Now that’s what you call a comeback! DVS won the match 5-3, making it a great start to the season.
On September 19, Team 1 secured another 5-3 victory, this time against ABC 14. Anton and Onno played a bizarre first set in the men’s doubles, winning it 30-29! That should be good for the scores in those quatro’tjes, I can imagine 😉.
Mariëlle had us on the edge of our seats in her singles match, but eventually won the third set 22-20. Congratulations!
Team 2: Division 5
Saturday, September 12, was also the first match for Team 2, at home against Culemborg. After losing the first set and winning the second convincingly, Ruben and Jeroen narrowly missed out on the win in the third set of the men’s doubles. Both men fought back in their singles matches and secured the wins there. Great revenge!
With a final score of 4-4, everything remained evenly balanced in Hoograven.
Sunday, September 20, was the second match for our second team. In a match consisting entirely of two-setters, it turned out to be a difficult afternoon, and the team lost 6-2 to Hercules. Jeroen and Joanne did win their singles matches though. Well done!
Team 3: Division 5
Because their second match has been rescheduled, Team 3 has only played one match so far, on September 12. Their opponents, Castellum, played with two female substitutes, and the match ended in a draw!
Bas and Sidney scored the first point by winning the men’s doubles, while Tessa and Anke made it 2-0. Unfortunately, three of the four singles matches were lost, but Anke held her ground and won her singles match!
Bas and Tessa secured the fourth point relatively easily, but unfortunately the second mixed doubles was lost against a strong Castellum. Final score: 4-4!
Team 4: Division 7
On Friday evening, September 11, Team 4 made an excellent start against Helios, winning 6-2! Tom and Miranda both managed to win all three of their matches. Great job!
Unfortunately, Eric and Esmee lost their singles matches, but they both comfortably won their other matches in two sets. Congratulations on this result, Team 4!
The momentum from the first match was still going strong, as the second match was also won 6-2. With the addition of player Jop, the team secured a convincing victory over Zijderveld. Esmee picked up a very comfortable win in her singles match, while Tom and Miranda made a great comeback in the mixed doubles after losing the first set. Well done!
Team 5: Division 8
Our fifth team has made an excellent start to the season, winning both matches 5-3.
In his first match, Marcel came very close to taking the win in his singles match, but unfortunately the victory went to the team from Ouderkerk. Rick and Marja both secured neat wins in their singles matches, and both mixed doubles matches were won as well!
In the second match, on September 18 against ‘t Gooi BC, Rick and Marcel won the men’s doubles after taking the second set 22-20. Three of the four singles matches were then won, all in two sets.
Marcel and Marja played a good mixed doubles match, which unfortunately just went the opponents’ way. Nevertheless, Team 5 went home with the victory: 5-3!
Team 6: Division 8
On Saturday, September 12, Team 6 played their first match against Dronten. Unfortunately, they lost 3-5. The women were in great form in this match, wining the women’s doubles as well as both singles matches. Well done!
The second mixed doubles was very closed and went to a deciding third set, which unfortunately they were unable to win.
Team 6’s second match was in Zeist against BC ‘t Slot. Despite one women’s singles match nog being played, Team 6 managed to score four points!
Levi and Rehman won the men’s doubles, followed by a win for Duyen and Xintong in the women’s doubles. The other two points came from the second men’s singles and the second mixed doubles. Well done!
Team 7: Men’s 1
Our only men’s team this year started their season on Saturday, September 19, with a 5-3 loss against Sjeve Sjuttel.
After the first four matches, the men were still at zero wins, but then they turned things around and won three matches in a row! So, they still managed to score a respectable three points in their first match.
